Why use a secondary external battery?

Scooters’ native batteries discharge at high rates (20A). This requires high-discharge cells, which have moderate energy density.

An external, recharge only battery discharges at 2A, meaning that high-energy cells can be used. This makes the external battery able to pack a full-recharge in a much lighter, more compact battery pack, ideal for battery swapping.
